Product Engineer (London)


To be an SME across Contis products and features. To act as Pre-Sales Support as required to support the Sales Team and as directed by COO/CCO. Manage, coordinate, develop Contis suite of products ensuring that they are fit for purpose in the market sectors that are identified in Contis strategic road map. Manage business case input to the Executive team so that value of products can be assessed, prioritised and approved for development or continued use.


  • To be recognised as an SME across Contis products and features.
  • Understand the market for Contis product suite through constant direct and indirect interaction with clients, prospects and key influencers
  • Support sales efforts through direct client calls and visits
  • Bring business cases, including market requirement specifications and product requirement specifications including risks, challenges and opportunities to the investment committee
  • Work with relevant Contis departments to write product functional specifications for delivery of new products and enhancements including, where necessary, project /implementation management of these
  • Participate actively with product building groups (Marketing, Finance, IT Development etc.) throughout the development stages
  • Manage product launch checklist to include testing, sales training, availability of collateral, pricing, training of other Contis staff
  • Manage the product life-cycle
  • Monitor and champion opportunities to enhance Contis product suite through alliance and acquisition
  • Prepare status reports for management as required
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Product Consultancy experience in a technology services or consulting organisation
  • Demonstrated project/implementation management experience
  • Excellent spoken, written communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding and documenting client requirements
  • Able to translate business needs into requirements and inform solutions
  • Can operate across business and technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to work to budgets
  • Detail oriented and analytical
  • Good listening and questioning
  • Ability to work in a team oriented and collaborative environment
  • Persuasive, encouraging and motivating
  • Organisation, time management
