Contis Group is delighted to announce that it will be piloting its award winning Engage proposition with the Ulster Federation of Credit Unions (UFCUs) in 2018.

Founded in 1995, the Ulster Federation of Credit Unions represents the interests of 45 Northern Irish CUs representing approx. 37,000 members. The partnership will allow Engage to provide Credit Union members with access to its market-leading alternative banking product, delivering greater choice and first-class money-management tools such as inbuilt budgeting and cash-back rewards.

Deborah Levy, Managing Director of Engage, said: “We are delighted to have signed an exclusive agreement with the Ulster Federation of Credit Unions. Through this deal, more people will have access to the combination of best-in-class current accounts (from Engage) and ethical savings and lending from the credit union movement.”

David Dowey, Chairman – Ulster Federation of Credit Unions added: “The closure of bank branches has resulted in hardship for members of the public in Northern Ireland. The introduction of the Engage current account, bringing convenient and cost effective banking to members of Ulster Federation Credit Unions is a positive step forward and very much welcomed”.
