Contis Group is shortlisted yet again for prestigious 2017 Card and Payment Awards

February 2017 could well be a time of celebration for Contis Group and its clients, as all of its 5 entries have been shortlisted for the prestigious Card and Payment Awards. Currently in its 12th year, the Card and Payment Awards recognise high-level industry achievements along with excellence in product delivery and customer services by organisations in Europe.

Contis Group’s ‘Engage’ has been shortlisted in two categories:  The Best Debit Card Programme of the Year and The Best Prepaid Product of the Year.  It is the unique brand and holistic low-cost Visa debit card programme for credit unions and is designed to help people become financially included.

As a proven innovator and disrupter in the sphere of challenger banking, Monese ‘the instant account for mobile people’ with Contis Group has been nominated for The Best Debit Card Programme of the Year Award with a strong proposition on servicing a niche consumer group solely via a mobile app and with no physical branches.  Supporting Monese, Contis Group has delivered a full ‘end-to-end’ bespoke debit card payment solution and current account platform giving full access via tailor-made APIs.

Within the Best Design of the Year category, Engage Smartcash has been selected with its fresh, fun and bold imagery that is appealing for today’s credit union members.  Smartcash helps positioning credit unions in educating young communities in the importance of understanding digital money management in a cashless society.

Nomination in the Best Industry Innovation of the Year has been assigned to Contis Group’s revolutionary technology and is the panacea to contactless fraud. It is the first prepaid and e-money provider to launch the real-time online contactless prepaid Visa debit card. ALL contactless transactions would be authorised for fully-funded accounts.

Contis Group faces tough competition within all of its entry categories from a number of major brands including Virgin Money, Barclaycard, Nationwide Building Society and RBS.

It is testimony to Contis’ commitment in providing cutting-edge financial technology coupled with excellence in devising tailor-made payment solutions that has captured the eye of the Awards’ independent panel of eminent banking and payments experts.

Contis Group has been a pioneer in this field over the past few years.  It is the only payment provider company in Europe that has the full solution capabilities for companies wishing to launch a debit card and current account programme.  Its technology platform has the ability to build bespoke mobile applications, online application processes where accounts can be opened in five minutes and current accounts for both retail and corporate clients.

“We, at Contis, are exceptionally delighted to be nominated in all 5 entries; and on behalf of everyone who has worked so hard and has always strived to bring innovative products to the market, it is gratifying to be recognised by prominent industry judges.  We look forward to the winning announcements in February 2017”

Winners will be announced and celebrated on 2nd February 2017 at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane.    Following the event, award winners will be formally announced on the Card & Payments Awards website
